PU1838 One-component polyurethane (PUR) corner angle adhesives
PU1838 One-component polyurethane (PUR) corner angle adhesives.
One-component polyurethane (PUR) corner angle adhesives are moisture-curing, solvent-free sealants designed for structural bonding in aluminum, wood, and PVC window/door frames. They offer gap-filling properties, high tensile strength, elasticity (to absorb thermal expansion), and superior weather and water resistance。 Polyurethane Adhesive Translucent PU-1838 is a one-part, fast-hardening translucent, solvent-free moisture curing polyurethane adhesive which, once hardened, transforms into a very strong-grip adhesive with excellent resistance to water, temperatures, weathering and ageing conditions. Due to the excellent filling properties, it is suitable for use in beading/cord applications.
● PU-1838 Designed for water-resistant bonding of wooden elements where a fast mechanical hold is necessary (10 minutes of clamp hold at room temperature) in order to permit working of hand-manufactured articles.
Suitable for structural strong-grip bonding of wooden elements on both porous and non porous substrates. Particularly useful and practical for high mechanical resistance assembly and outdoor applications.

Unlike standard two-part epoxies that require manual mixing, 1-component polyurethanes cure by reacting with ambient atmospheric moisture or the humidity present in the substrate. [1, 2, 3]
Key Advantages
Permanent Elasticity: Accommodates the natural flexing, vibration, and shifting of doors and windows over time.
Weatherproof: Performs reliably under extreme temperature fluctuations and UV exposure.
High Yield: Economical in consumption due to excellent non-sag, gap-filling capabilities.
Corrosion Protection: Effectively seals joints against moisture ingress, preventing internal metal oxidation.
Application Guide
Surface Prep: Ensure that both cutting surfaces and the corner cleat are dry and entirely free of oil, dust, and grease.
Application: Extrude the adhesive directly from the cartridge into the hollow spaces or directly onto the corner cutting surfaces of the profile using a caulking gun.
Assembly: Connect the mitered joints and insert the corner angles immediately.
Curing: Clamp or fixture the assembly for the duration of the pressing/setting time to prevent shifting before the PUR fully cross-links
